Not Just another Church Festival, a Family Festival with a Purpose
Over the years ACTS Youth Ministry has been able to minister to the needs of teens in our community by providing evening social programs, offering retreats, as well as outreaching to others within the community like our Veterans, or those in nursing homes. All of this was financed by volunteering at various venues that came into the city of Racine. Over the past few years, a lot of these events have stopped coming, and in order for us to continue to offer programs that help our young church members to keep The Great Commandment and help them to live the Gospel values of serving others and living those values among their peers, we (OUR TEENS AND THEIR PARENTS) are trying to be creative in fundraising, and have come up with a plan. That plan is to have a Family Fun Fest- a fest that would benefit our ACTS Ministry. 100%
We have looked at grants, or local restaurant fundraisers for support, but many, have turned us down due in part because of our Catholic Christian Values. The Values of: Igniting in Teens a Passion of Life Long Learning, Rooted in Prayer, Fellowship, Social and Justice.
So on July 21&22, we are having our very first ACTS Youth Ministry Family Fun Fest that will take place on the grounds of St Richard Parish, 1509 Grand Avenue.
