“Dear young people, please, don’t be observers of life, but get involved. Jesus did  not remain an observer, but he immersed himself. Don’t be observers, but immerce yourself in the reality of life, as Jesus did.”      – Pope Francis, July 27, 2013 Youth Prayer Vigil at Rio

Three interdependent and equally important goals guide the Church’s ministry with  Teens. These goals state what it means for the Catholic community to respond to the needs of the YOUNG CHURCH and to involve members of the YOUNG CHURCH in sharing their unique gifts with the larger community. They express the Church’s focus for ministry with the YOUNG CHURCH, while encouraging local creativity in developing the programs, activities, and strategies to reach these goals.

Goal 1: T
o empower the YOUNG CHURCH to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

Goal 2: To draw the YOUNG CHURCH to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.

Goal 3: To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of all members of the YOUNG CHURCH.
